Dollfuss Museum

The Dollfuss Museum or, according to his own spelling, Dr. Engelbert Dollfuss Museum is located in the house where Engelbert Dollfuss was born in the municipality of Texingtal in the Mostviertel in Lower Austria .

The museum is located in the originally preserved birth house of Engelbert Dollfuss, who came to Kirnberg an der Mank shortly after his birth for family reasons .

It was set up under the direction of Karl Franc, opened on June 14, 1998 and is currently funded by the municipality. The museum director is Karl Franc, the legal entity is the municipality of Texingtal.

Today there are around 110 exhibits and 220 illustrated photos in five rooms.

A passage tree from 1779 has survived in the room.

In addition to numerous contemporary documents, newspaper reports and photos, there are also personal articles by Dollfuss during his time as a schoolboy, agricultural specialist, agriculture minister and federal chancellor, such as his briefcase, personal letters and postcards as well as family photos.

There are also commemorative items (e.g. mugs, cards, party slips), postage stamps and street signs with his name or portraits in the collection. Information about Dollfuss memorials is also available.
