Domenico Oppedisano

Domenico Oppedisano (* 1930 , Rosarno ) is an Italian leader of the 'Ndrangheta .

He was unanimously elected leader of the 'Ndrangheta in August 2009 in order to unite the branched structure of this Mafia organization under an outwardly inconspicuous head, and introduced in the course of a Marian procession. The Italian authorities raided him in July 2010 after bugging the trees in his orange grove. In March 2012, he was sentenced to ten years in prison by an Italian court.
