Salzburg Cathedral Excavation Museum

The cathedral excavation museum is located under the Domplatz and Residenzplatz in Salzburg .

It is located directly in front of the Salzburg Cathedral and shows the excavations of a Roman building complex in the 1950s and 1960s and the foundations of the Romanesque cathedral. It is part of the Salzburg Museum and only open during the months of July and August.
