Dominator oak

The Dominator Oak (Polish: Dąb Dominator) was one of the thickest oaks in the Polish part of the Białowieża National Park .

The location of this oak is in sector 640 of the national park, very close to the border with Belarus . The trunk circumference was 680 cm at a height of 130 cm from the base. The tree reached a height of over 36 m and died in 1992. The trunk is already to a considerable extent without bark .

For many years the oak dominated the southern part of the Białowieża National Park due to its dimensions. The age of this oak was estimated to be 450 years.
