Dominique von Burg

Dominique von Burg (* 1946 ) is a Swiss journalist .

Life

Von Burg began his journalistic career after 1969 with a stage at the Tribune de Genève . From 1980 to 2000 he worked for the western Swiss television TSR as a reporter, editor-in-chief and producer. In 2000 he switched back to the print media and was editor-in-chief of the “Tribune de Genève” until autumn 2006. Since then he has worked in the newspaper's local editorial team. Von Burg has been a member of the Swiss Press Council since 2000 . Since March 8, 2007 he has been President of the Press Council. After reaching the maximum term of office, he will hand over his office to Susan Boos at the end of 2020 .
