Dongo (shell money)

As Dongo , Achatina Money or snails money is a form of shell money referred to in the housings of snails ( African giant snails ) was prepared. It was used in West Africa , where it was pulled on cords and worn around the neck or hips. The mussel necklaces could weigh up to 20 kilograms.
