Dora Jung
Dora Elisabet Jung (born October 16, 1906 in Helsinki , † December 19, 1980 ibid) was a Finnish textile artist .
Life
Jung worked with the damask technique, which is unusual in Finnish textile art . She designed many monumental works for public institutions. The tapestry Katarina Jagellonica designed by her in 1961 for the Turku Castle and the stage curtain created for the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki are well known .
Dora Jung was considered to be a innovator in Finnish textile art.
