Dorada Island

Dorada Island is an island in the South Georgia archipelago in the South Atlantic . It is the middle of the three large Welcome Islands and belongs to the breeding areas of the golden crested penguin .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it 2009. It is named after the Dorada , one from 2002 to 2007 in the service of the Government of the British Overseas Territories South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and the Falkland Islands stationary vessel for fisheries inspection .
