The Evangelical Lutheran village church Falkenhain is located in the Falkenhain district of the city of Meuselwitz in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

history

The village church was already there in 1457 under Hans von Minckwitz as a chapel of the manor. It is the oldest building in the city. Under the patron Rudolph Siegfried von Minckwitz, the extension to the current form took place in 1685.

One of the oldest baptismal fonts in the Altenburger Land, which is verifiably made in 1100, is on the forecourt of the church.
