The Dorotheenpark is a green area in the Feldmark district of Wesel . It is located in the center of the district and covers an area of ​​around 12,000 square meters.

The Dorotheenpark is located in the center of the Feldmark, directly east of the Feldmarker Marktplatz, from which it is spatially separated by a row of houses. In the north, the park is bounded by the Wesel vocational college, in the east there is a daycare center and a primary school, in the south runs the Holzweg street that crosses Feldmark and on the west side of the park runs the Dorotheenweg with the row of houses bordering the marketplace.

Design and use

In 2008 the senior citizens' council of the city of Wesel initiated the redesign of the Dorotheenpark. In 2010, the newly designed park was inaugurated with a park festival. The green area is designed as a multigenerational space and is intended to enable a variety of uses. Accordingly, the park contains various play options. A total of 2,650 of the 12,000 square meters are designated as playground area. In addition to play facilities for children, the park also has a boule alley . There are also two football fields to the north of the park . An important design element of the Dorotheenpark is a pond on the north side.
