Dos Jidisze word

Dos Jidisze Wort (דאָס ייִדישע וואָרט, also Dos yidishe word "The Jewish Word") or with the Polish title Słowo Żydowskie is a bilingual monthly magazine in Yiddish and Polish . It is the only Yiddish magazine currently published in Poland .

history

Dos Jidisze Wort is the press organ of the Social-Cultural Society of Jews in Poland (TSKŻ) and the continuation of the newspaper Folks-shtime ( People's Voice ), which appeared until 1991 . The first edition of Dos Jidisze Wort was published in 1992 and it was originally published twice a month. It has been published monthly since January 2009. Her previous editors-in-chief were Adam Rock, Zbigniew Safyan , Michail Sobelman and Jacob Weizner, currently Arthur Hoffman, the chairman of the Social-Cultural Society of Jews in Poland (TSKŻ). Aleksandra Król (from the Museum of the History of Polish Jews ) is responsible for the part in Yiddish.

A newspaper of the same name was published in Poland before World War II .
