The slope of walls made of natural stone is called dossing . Natural stone masonry , which is used to support the ground ( retaining wall ) in the terrain, is not viewed vertically in cross-section, but for static reasons up to a height of 1.00 m with approx. 10% and over a height of 1.00 m up to approx. 20 % Slope, bricked.

If there is a concrete wall behind the natural stone walls that absorbs the soil, the static function is not applicable when the dossing is carried out. The natural stone wall creates the illusion that it supports the terrain.

Masonry that is erected for water protection has a dossage of up to 45%.
