Dov Schmorak

Dov B. Schmorak (born November 15, 1929 in Poland ) is an Israeli diplomat.

Life

Schmorak emigrated to Israel in 1950. From 1952 he worked for the Israeli Foreign Ministry. From 1954 to 1956 Schmorak served in the Israeli armed forces . From 1961 to 1962 he was the spokesman for the attorney general and liaison to the foreign observers during the trial of Adolf Eichmann . Schmorak was then first secretary at the Israeli embassy in Sweden from 1962 to 1966 and first secretary and later counselor at the Israeli embassy in the United Kingdom from 1966 to 1968 .

From 1972 to 1975 he served as the Israeli ambassador to Uruguay . From 1980 to 1985 Schmorak was the Israeli ambassador to Argentina . His next ambassadorial post brought him to Mexico , where he represented Israel from 1987 to 1991.
