Down Road Nature Reserve is an IUCN Category Ia conservation area about fourteen kilometers northwest of Albany . It has existed since 1932 and covers an area of approximately 7.78 square kilometers.
The Mount Barker-Albany 132 kV powerline runs through Down Road Nature Reserve.
geography
The sanctuary is near Drome . Several unpaved roads lead through the area. A small river also flows through the area. The Marbellup Flats and Seven Mile Creek wetlands extend into the reserve.
flora
Beaufortia sparsa grow in the nature reserve . The forest in the reserve is a mixed forest of Jarrah and Marri trees.
