The Mutterstadt water tower is a 50.65 meter high water tower in Mutterstadt . It is a landmark building and is a landmark of the community.

history

The tower was built in 1932 by Joseph Hoffmann & Söhne AG for the water supply association “Palatinate Middle Rhine Group” and has a square cross-section with a length of 12.8 meters. Its water tank with a capacity of 560 cubic meters is located at a height of 6.6 meters. The Mutterstadt water tower has two viewing balconies 36.7 meters high and a tower clock on the facade.

In the course of a thorough renovation, the facade was redesigned in 1989 by the industrial designer Friedrich-Ernst von Garnier with colored geometric motifs.
