Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge

The Dr. Vogelgesang gorge is the second longest opened gorge among the Austrian rock gorges after the Leutasch gorge . It is located on the Klammbach in the municipality of Spital am Pyhrn .

The original name was (until 1905) "Fallbachklamm" . The new namesake was the community doctor Dr. Moritz Vogelgesang , who as chairman of the Alpine Club section suggested the construction of a footbridge. The system, first completed in 1906, is around 1500 meters long and leads over around 500 steps. The end point of the subsequent path is at 1043  m above sea level. A. located Bosruckhütte .

The gorge has around 30,000 visitors each year.
