The Dr. Necmettin Şeyhoğlu Stadı (also Dr. Necmettin Şeyhoğlu Stadyumu , German Dr. Necmettin-Şeyhoğlu Stadium ) is a football stadium in Karabük, Turkey and is home to the Kardemir Karabükspor club .
history
The stadium was built in 1998 and renovated in 2008. It has floodlights and seats for 7,593 spectators. The site was named after the mayor of Karabük City, Dr. Necmettin Şeyhoğlu , named. He held the position from 1968 to 1973 and a second time from 1984 to 1987.
The stadium was rebuilt between 2010 and 2014. For this purpose, all four grandstands were demolished and rebuilt one after the other, without interfering with ongoing match operations in the stadium. The audience capacity has increased from 7,500 to 14,000.
