Dr. Tax is a Swiss software for tax consultants, tax authorities, companies and private taxpayers. The manufacturer is Ringler Informatik AG with headquarters in Baar in the canton of Zug and a branch in Lausanne.
The software is available as a desktop solution for all 26 Swiss cantons and contains the following main modules:
- Tax return for natural persons
- Tax return for legal persons
- VAT settlement
- Wage certificate
- Snapform forms from the FTA
history
- 1986: Ringler Informatik AG develops the first tax software solution in Switzerland based on Unix and DOS.
- 1994: the new control solution for Windows 3.x is launched. What is new is that the forms are displayed true to the original on the screen for the first time. The brand “Dr. Tax ”is entered in the Swiss trademark register on August 30, 1994.
- Between 2008 and 2013, Dr. Tax Suite also developed for China, Austria and Poland. The development for these countries will stop again in 2014.
- 2015: Dr. Tax is being launched in the third generation under Java . In the same year, Dr. Tax is the first completely paperless and signature-free submission of tax returns in the canton of Friborg. The signature-free submission option will be adopted by the canton of Lucerne in 2016 and will also be used in the canton of Obwalden from 2018.
- 2018: The first web-based entry solution for tax returns is introduced in the canton of Obwalden under the name eTax.OW.
