Dreckspatzplatz (original title: Dirtgirlworld ) is an Australian - Canadian - American animated series from 2009. The German premiere took place on September 8, 2014 on KiKA . The series was also released on DVD .

The "Dreckspatzplatz" is a paradise for children. The little girl Dreckspatz and her friends Bastel-Jan, Grabi and Ken know this and dig, muddy and sing there in all seasons. They also deal with gardening, learn about nature and plant, care and harvest. They also use many unconventional recycling ideas and experience many adventures.

Production and publication

The series was produced by Mememe Productions and Decode Entertainment . The concept comes from Cate McQuillen, author was also Craig Martin. Directed by Hana Kukal, Jean Camden and Justine Flynn. Mick Jones, Martin Jefferson and Linda Ung were responsible for the editing and the music was composed by W. Paul Agar and Hewey Eustace.

The 52 episodes were first broadcast on October 6, 2009 by CBC / Radio Canada . From September 8 to November 18, 2014, Dreckspatzplatz was shown in German by KiKA and then repeated several times. The series also aired in Australia, the UK and the US.
