Thirtieth
The thirties were historical royal customs posts of the Kingdom of Hungary . The thirtieth office was introduced under the first Hungarian King Stephan I. The name "thirty" came from the original collection of the "thirtieth part" of the value of a commodity as a customs duty. The customs officers were therefore given the names “thirties”, thirties, upper thirty, thirties, etc. The officials were mostly Hungarian nobles , former Hungarian officers or sons of bourgeois patricians .
