The Three Brothers Chapel in the Kuhtal on St. Annaberg is an old path chapel or field chapel on the road from Sankt Annaberg to Zdzieszowice (Deschowitz) or Żyrowa (Zyrowa). The legend of three brothers is connected to the wayside chapel. The facade of the chapel is decorated with some design elements such as cornices and niches, inside it has a painting.

History and description

At the place where the chapel was built, there is said to have been a tree (a beech) with a wayside shrine. This showed a picture of the holy family.

According to legend, three brothers who had to fight as soldiers in the war met again at this wayside shrine during the ongoing Thirty Years' War. This scene can be found figuratively inside the chapel. According to another opinion, it is supposed to be a father with his two sons. In the background of the picture is the St. Annaberg with the Franciscan monastery on its top. After the meeting, the brothers are said to have decided and finally completed the construction of a path chapel in gratitude for having survived the war unscathed.

When the Chaussee at the chapel was renewed in 1928, the chapel was also repaired and renovated. The previously damaged painting was replaced by a detailed copy.
