history
The church was probably built according to plans by Matthias Binder , a master builder of the Teutonic Order , right next to the palace of the Barons von Palm . The church was consecrated on September 8, 1777 by the Würzburg auxiliary bishop Johann Anton von Gebsattel .
Restorations were carried out in 1881, 1971 and 2017. The German Foundation for Monument Protection provided 110,000 euros for the last restoration work, which concerned the ceiling construction and the painting .
description
The ground plan of the church is almost square, in the west there is also an almost square choir . The facade is richly structured by elements such as columns and cornices and is surmounted by a roof turret.

The high altar is by Johann Andreas Sommer , the ceiling frescoes of the mirror vault were created by Matthäus Günther , who depicts the work of St. Show Karl Borromeo , who looked after the poor and the sick in Milan during the plague epidemic in the 1570s.
