Holy Trinity Column (Poysdorf)
The Dreifaltigkeitssäule (also: plague column ) of Poysdorf in Lower Austria rises on Dreifaltigkeitsplatz above a four-sided curved pedestal in the middle of an eight-sided enclosure with stone bandwork and acanthus balustrade .
The pedestal has a rich relief decoration . These include depictions of Saints Franz Xaver and Rosalia , the crucifixion of Christ and the Poysdorf coat of arms as well as inscriptions from 1715, 1832 and 1932, including Rochus M. Mairhoffer von Wienn . The corners of the base are set with cherubim . Above there are stone figures of Saints Rochus , Sebastian , Karl Borromeo and Johannes Nepomuk .
The pedestal bears a cloud obelisk with inscriptions at the base and a group of figures crowning the Holy Trinity Mary at the top.
