Dreilindenpark
The Dreilindenpark (colloquially also called «Konsipark») is the largest public park in the city of Lucerne with an area of 35,000 m² .
history
Elenora Cenci, Princess of Vicovaro, (nee Lorillard Spencer) purchased the property in 1890 and had it built as an English landscape garden in 1890/1891 according to plans by the architect Edward Heweston .
In the garden area, the complex includes the palace -like villa “Vicovaro”, an economic building , a porter's house and an artificial gate ruin, various marble sculptures and a grotto. Located on a hill east of the city of Lucerne, it offers a wide view of the alpine panorama.
In 1923 it was sold to the Kiefer-Hablitzels . They later bequeathed the property to the city of Lucerne, which used the building as a conservatory from 1952 (since 1999 part of the Lucerne School of Music ).
