The Dresden School of Management (formerly SRH Hochschulcampus Dresden of the SRH Hochschule Berlin) is part of the SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences , a private , state-recognized and accredited university with five schools in Berlin and Dresden .

There are Bachelor - and Master offered degree programs in the fields of hospitality & tourism, Management & events as well as Psychology & Social Affairs -. Students are given the opportunity to complete a selection of courses in English. You can choose between the dual or full-time version. In addition, advanced training to become a state-certified hotel manager is offered.

Around 350 students and business economists from 33 nations are enrolled at the school.

history

The educational institution was founded in 1994 and began as a hotel management school in Pirna to train specialists for the hotel industry.

In 2009 it was renamed the Hotel-Akademie, which joined the SRH University of Applied Sciences in September 2012 and was named SRH Hotel-Akademie Dresden. After a brand change in October 2019, the Hotel Akademie now operates as the Dresden School of Management.

SRH is a provider of educational and health services. It operates private universities, educational centers, schools and hospitals. With over 14,000 employees, SRH looks after over a million educational customers and patients a year. The group of companies is owned by SRH Holding, a non-profit foundation based in Heidelberg.

Study model

The lectures at the SRH Dresden School of Management are based on the CORE (Competence Oriented Research and Education) study model.

  • The semester is divided into 5-week blocks in which problems are dealt with. Each block ends with an exam at the end of the five weeks. This enables an intensive examination of the respective topic.
  • The students receive a university education in small study groups.

Accreditation

The Dresden School of Management has been institutionally accredited by the Science Council since July 2009. The accreditation agency FIBAA has confirmed the technical quality of the study programs at the Dresden School of Management.
