The Dresden Official Gazette is the official publication organ of the Saxon state capital Dresden . In this publication all urban developments and plans, tenders and resolutions of the city council are published.

history

The Dresden Official Gazette as a publication of official communications from the city and first published in 1990 as a copy edition (then in printed form from 1991) follows the tradition of the official publication Dresdner Anzeiger , which was discontinued at the end of the Second World War.

Up to May 2003 the appearance changed several times. The newsletter reached an average circulation of up to 16,500 copies. These were made available free of charge at around 168 public display points in the city.

In May 2003, the concept and the overall design changed significantly - with the aim of transforming the official gazette into a local business newspaper. In the first steps, the circulation increased to up to 46,000 copies per week. The number of display points was increased to around 1650 in all areas of public life, such as B. shopping centers, banks , large companies, gas stations , offices, etc., expanded significantly.

In May 2005 the Dresden Official Gazette received a permanent supplement in the form of a weekly newspaper with the title Dresdner Nachrichten . This newspaper appeared in the Berlin format and gave the publisher more editorial options to present advertisers' advertisements in an interesting environment of city information.

However, due to the strong competition in the Dresden newspaper market, this new concept did not establish itself as desired, which is why, for economic reasons, the circulation of the Official Journal has been reduced to around 20,000 copies a week since 2006. In May 2010 the supplement was renamed from Dresdner Nachrichten to Dresdner Akzente and the layout and design were completely revised before it was finally discontinued in February 2013 due to a change of publisher.

Since March 2013, the Dresden Official Gazette has been distributed and editorially supported by the publisher Sharp // media Dresden. In addition to the print edition with an increased circulation of a total of 25,000 copies, the Dresden Official Gazette is also getting a new, editorially prepared website.
