In 1952, Druckmaschinenwerke Leipzig launched the first small offset press based on the model of the flexographic printing machine .

Company history

Druckmaschinenwerke Leipzig emerged from the company JF Schelter & Giesecke , which was founded in 1819 as a type foundry . Book, cylinder and platen printing machines were manufactured from 1827 onwards. After the First World War, web, book and flexo printing machines were manufactured.

In 1968, the first perfecting press, called the zirkon 66, was built and installed in New York.

The successor company is zirkon Druckmaschinen GmbH .
