Profile of a modern zip-lock bag - close-up

A zipper bag is a bag made of plastic with a sealing strip made of two interlocking profiles at the filling opening with which the bag can be almost hermetically closed. The bag can be easily opened and closed again, making it reusable.

The locking mechanism was patented in 1954.

A similar closure principle is used for zip- lock bags .
