Khodscha Ubaydulloh Ahror was born in the countryside in Bogiston next to what is now Lake Chorvoq . Khodja Ubaydulloh Ahror has been a great teacher and leader of the Muslim clergy. He was a descendant of Mohammed . He was still young when he got his place as head of the Naqschbandi order. He improved the doctrine of the Order significantly. As early as the middle of the 15th century, he was a leader of the Muslim clergy of the Timurid Empire . Because Samarkand was a center of clergy at the time, Chodscha Ubaydulloh Ahror had to leave Tashkent. For this reason he built the mosque and madrasah as a gift for the people of Tashkent.

This mosque was destroyed by the strong earthquake in 1868. This building was restored after 20 years. However, the Russian conquest and later the atheism of the Soviet era led to the destruction of the mosque. The ruins were torn down in 1997. The new building was built in the same place.
