You and your world
You and Your World was a consumer exhibition. It took place in Hamburg and was organized annually from 1955 to 2014 by Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH and carried out on the Hamburg exhibition grounds . The sales and information exhibition with a total of around 600 exhibitors from 25 nations was visited by an average of 100,000 people. Nevertheless, "You and Your World" was mainly a regional fair. 51% of all visitors came from Hamburg and 33% were based in Schleswig-Holstein. In 2014 the exhibition took place from October 3rd to October 12th. At the same time, this was the last fair of its kind. In November 2014, Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH announced that it would be discontinuing “You and your world” due to falling visitor and exhibitor numbers. The number of visitors had recently dropped to 79,000 compared to 165,000 ten years earlier. In addition, acceptance for the multi-branch fair has increasingly declined, according to the organizers.
