The Dubrava reservoir ( Croatian : Dubravsko jezero ) is the third, largest and most recently built dam on the Drava in Croatia . The Drava, which is called Drava in Croatia , is dammed here to form a 16.6 km² reservoir . The storage capacity is 93.5 million cubic meters. Due to the high influx, the entire water content is exchanged on average once every four days.
The dam made of loose earth material was built in 1989 about 10 km above the confluence of the Drava and Mur near the northern Croatian Donja Dubrava . It is up to 16 m high and the main part 492 m long. There are also side embankments with a total length of 22.8 km. This makes the barrier structure one of the longest on earth.
The Dubrava hydropower plant generates an output of 81 MW.
