The Duke Mathematical Journal (DMJ) is a peer-reviewed mathematical journal published by Duke University Press, Duke University , since 1935 .

When it was founded, David Widder , Arthur Coble and Joseph Miller Thomas were the main founders. Leonard Carlitz was co-editor from 1938 to 1973 and one of the editors was William Arveson . Jonathan Wahl is currently the editor (2016).

18 issues appear per year.

The impact factor was 1,578 in 2014 and 2,350 in 2015. In terms of the Impact Factor, the journal was number 7 among mathematics journals in 2006 and tenth for the period 1981 to 2006.

The ISSN is 0012-7094.
