Dumha Éige (Anglicised: Dooega ) is a village in the southwest of Achill Island in County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. Until recently, the place belonged to the Irish-speaking Gaeltacht , but is still home to the Coláiste Acla , an Irish-speaking summer school. The place is on Atlantic Drive , a coastal road with beautiful views all the way to Clare Island . Dumha Éige / Dooega has a recognized bathing beach ( Blue Flag beach ), a church, a pub plus a hostel (known as “Mickey's”) and is also said to be inhabited by hospitable people.

The village is easily confused with Dumha Acha / Dooagh, a village in the northwest of the island, because of the similarity of the name .
