Migrants

As a migrant are animals , especially migratory birds referred that do not propagate in a certain area, but this area pass through on their train between winter quarters and summer habitat. These animals are only observed in the area during the species-specific migration times, usually flying overhead or resting for a short time. They are mostly birds , but also bats .

Typical examples of migratory birds in Central Europe are the little gull , the sandpiper or the whimbrel .
