Mining locomotive from Sociedad Metalúrgica Duro-Felguera (1960)

Duro Felguera ( DF ) is a Spanish plant engineering company based in Gijón in Asturias . It goes back to the "Fábrica de La Felguera" from 1858. Ships and mining locomotives were also built in the past.

Today Duro Felguera is primarily a general contractor ( EPC ), on the other hand also a manufacturing company. The subsidiary DF Energy builds power plants in South America, Europe and Africa. DF Mining & Handling builds ore processing and loading plants for mining worldwide. The joint venture Felguera IHI with the IHI Corporation designs liquid gas tanks.

DF Calderería Pesada supplies pressure vessels to the oil and gas industry, and TEDESA makes steel structures for tunnel construction. DF Núcleo produces communication systems for airport towers and military applications. In addition, automatic storage systems are produced.
