D + C development and cooperation
D + C Development and Cooperation ( English D + C Development and Cooperation ) is a German magazine that bilingual as an international discussion forum for German development policy is used. It is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and published by the federally owned company Engagement Global . In addition to the German-language edition, the English-language edition D + C Development and Cooperation with the same content is published. It has been published every two months since 2015.
history
The magazine, financed by the BMZ, first appeared in German in 1964, and in English since 1974 at the latest. The bimonthly magazine has been published by the state-owned public company Engagement Global since January 2012 . Former editors are the German Society for International Cooperation and its predecessor organizations International Continuing Education and Development and the German Foundation for International Development (DSE). It appeared eleven times a year until 2015, and has been published every two months since then.
Alignment
The magazine is not designed as a government mouthpiece, but is intended to be a controversial discussion forum for politics, practice, science and civil society about German development policy at the international level.
In addition to the printed magazine, Engagement Global also publishes a daily updated development policy website and a monthly e-paper under the same title.
