E-mail novel
The e-mail novel is a specific form of the novel . It is a modified form of the letter novel .
Characteristics
This novel form, which fakes letters sent on paper or electronically, has two or more narrators. In the case of the e-mail novel, the reader takes the information from the written dialogue . This distinguishes the e-mail novel from the traditional type novel and connects it to the drama , in which this form of representation of actions is typical. The narrative perspective of the first-person narrative situation is characteristic . Events are thus changed or even distorted by personal opinions and impressions, which - in the context of fiction - makes the difference between objective and subjective truth particularly clear. All of these features appear in the epistolary novel.
