The Erste Bank and Sparkassen Leasing GmbH is the largest brand-independent leasing company in Austria. It is a subsidiary of Erste Bank der Oesterreichischen Sparkassen and the Vienna Insurance Group .
history
Erste Bank und Sparkassen Leasing GmbH was founded in 1979 as a subsidiary of Erste Österreich Spar-Casse and Bundesländer Versicherung (today UNIQA Versicherungen AG ) in Vienna. The aim was to link the products of vehicle leasing and vehicle insurance in the sense of an all-finance approach. This then innovative idea has lost none of its validity to this day. The leasing business was carried out through the distribution channels of the parent companies (bank branches, insurance sales force). From 1998, bank sales were gradually expanded to include the Austrian savings banks. In February 2003 two new sales companies were founded under EBV-Leasing in order to strengthen the integration into the sales channels: s Autoleasing GmbH as a 100% subsidiary of Erste Bank and UNIQA Leasing GmbH as a 100% subsidiary of UNIQA. The structure of what was then EBV-Leasing remained unchanged. On February 1, 2009, UNIQA sold its 50% stake in EBV-Leasing to Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group. In this context, Wiener Städtische Donau Leasing GmbH established a new sales company for the insurance companies Wiener Städtische and Donau. On January 1, 2013, the equipment leasing business of Erste Group Immorent AG in Austria and s Autoleasing GmbH were combined in a new company - Erste Bank and Sparkassen Leasing GmbH. On January 1, 2015, the corporate structure was simplified and EBV-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG was incorporated into Erste Bank und Sparkasse Leasing GmbH.
Business purpose
Erste Bank und Sparkassen Leasing GmbH and its sales company Wiener Städtische Donau Leasing GmbH specialize in offering vehicle, movables and sales leasing as well as fleet management products. This includes financing and insurance. With vehicle leasing, additional services related to the car (e.g. discounts on refueling, rental cars or driver safety training) are offered.
