eBay Classifieds is a German online - classifieds portal which over 40 million ads is the largest portal of its kind in Germany. According to the daily digital facts of the online research group , eBay classifieds is the online offer with the widest reach in Germany.
history
eBay Classifieds was created on September 9, 2009 from the previous Kijiji listing .
In July 2020 it was announced that eBay would sell its ad portals eBay classifieds and Mobile.de to the listed internet group Adevinta by the 1st quarter of 2021 at the latest , which operated ad portals in its home country Norway and 14 other countries. The purchase price was 9.2 billion US dollars. Adevinta paid eBay 2.5 billion in cash . For the remainder of the purchase price, eBay received shares in Adevinta with a total face value of $ 6.7 billion. With 44 percent of the shares and 33.3 percent of the voting rights, eBay became the largest shareholder in Adevinta.

The portal is mainly financed by integrated advertising and income from the advertisements.
