The locomotives of the ERR class 4211 were diesel locomotives with the wheel arrangement C for the shunting service , which were procured by the Egyptian Republic Railways (ERR) (now Egyptian National Railways (ENR)) in the 1950s. The German manufacturer Arnold Jung Lokomotivfabrik in Jungenthal in Rhineland-Palatinate built the first delivery of 15 units in 1953 and 1955 and in 1956 a second, 27 units under the serial numbers 12161 to 12187.

During the Israeli invasion of the Sinai Peninsula in 1956 , the number 4239 was captured on the Sinai Peninsula with the former Palestine Railways route between El Kantara East and Gaza . It was taken over by Israel Railways (IR) under number 251. In Israel she was nicknamed " Abdel Nasser ". It was rarely used and scrapped in 1970.
