Grand Canyon West is a tourist amusement park on the Grand Canyon, west of the Grand Canyon National Park . The region belongs to the tribal area of the Hualapai Indians and is managed by them semi-autonomously. Since the spring of 2007, the main attraction of Grand Canyon West has been the Grand Canyon Skywalk , a steel and glass platform protruding from the canyon rim. Opposite is Eagle Point , a rock formation that rises from the depths of the canyon and resembles the shape of an eagle with stretched wings. Eagle Point is an important sanctuary for the Hualapai Indians and is worshiped by them in ceremonies.
Another popular lookout point is Guano Point , 3 kilometers north. From here a panoramic view of the western area of the Grand Canyon is possible.
The tourist offers include reconstructions of huts and tents from five different Indian cultures and a ranch of the Wild West with living history events.
Both the access to the area and the individual offers are both chargeable.
