The Guano Point ( 1453 m ) is a hilltop at the Grand Canyon South Rim in the area of Hualapai -Reservation. The name goes back to a cable car from Guano Point to the Bat Cave Mine , a mine for guano based on bat droppings , at the bottom of the Grand Canyon , where Guano Point was the mountain station of this Lastbergbahn.
A little below on the side facing the canyon is the building of the mountain station of the railway. The rope no longer exists after it was cut in flight by a military jet after mining ended in the early 1960s.
The Guano Point is now part of a guided tour in the Hualapai area together with the Grand Canyon Skywalk and can only be visited as such.
