Earl Alexander of Hillsborough
Earl Alexander of Hillsborough was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award and subordinate titles
The title was created on January 30, 1963 for Labor politician and former Secretary of Defense Albert Alexander, 1st Viscount Alexander of Hillborough .
Along with the earliest dignity, he was given the subordinate title of Baron Weston-super-Mare , of Weston-super-Mare in the County of Somerset . As early as January 27, 1950, he was given the subordinate title Viscount Alexander of Hillsborough , of Hillsborough in the City of Sheffield . Both titles also belonged to the Peerage of the United Kingdom.
Since the 1st Earl left no sons, the titles expired on his death on January 11, 1965.
