Eastcotts Castle
Eastcotts Castle is an abandoned castle in the parish of Eastcotts on the edge of Exeter Wood in the English county of Bedfordshire .
The small, wooden moth is believed to have been built in the late 11th or early 12th century on the north edge of Bedfordshire Greensand Ridge . The strategic location overlooked the village of Cardington and the Great Ouse .
Today at this point in Exeter Wood, about 780 meters southeast of the Wood Farm, only earthworks are preserved, which are considered a Scheduled Monument .
