Ebonique is a dance act from the Netherlands , consisting of the singers Ingrid Simons, Mieke de Jongh and Danie Duzant. Ebonique was founded in 2000 by Dutch producer Tjeerd van Zanen for the purpose of participating in the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest . During this time there were also guest appearances as a background choir with German artists such as Sasha and Stefan Raab .

In 2003 Ebonique was seen and heard again in the Dutch qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest. The song Heatwave was written by the Maltese Gerard James Borg . Ebonique came in fourth.

The band performed live regularly until they broke up in 2010, primarily in their home country.
