Echo of Home (cabaret)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Echo der Heimat is a cabaret ensemble from Austria that makes use of numerous stylistic devices and many instruments.

The international ensemble was founded in December 2003 and comprises the mime and actress Tücsi Abraham, the mime and musician Christina Förster, the author and musician Gerald Jatzek , the author and cabaret artist Christoph Krall and the actor Christian Orou. The background was the common annoyance at the harmless, shallow comedy wave that spills from the TV stations onto the small stages. The aim of the echo is to "faithfully reproduce the Austrian soundscape between Schruns and Oberpullendorf". (Program go to Oberzeiring )
