Ede Clendinnen Shield
As Ede Clendinnen Shield (or shortly Clendinnen Shield ) in is Badminton Cup called, awarded for winning the team championship of the Australian states. It is named after Reginald Ede Clendinnen , who was the third president of the Tasmanian Badminton Association. The cup was officially introduced in 1935, but there were team competitions between the states in the years before (and thus also before the founding of the Australian Badminton Association). When the names of the winners were fully inscribed on the trophy , Roy Ward donated a new trophy, keeping the old name. The original trophy is now in the headquarters of the Badminton Association of Western Australia .
