Edelweiss ring
The edelweiss ring is an internal troop award which was given in recognition of loyal service to mountain hunters in the 1st mountain division of the Wehrmacht. It is one of the Wehrmacht's portable commemorative badges .
The award consists of a silver finger ring. In the center of the ring, in an oval medallion, there is a three-dimensional representation of edelweiss . The inside of the edelweiss ring is stamped with “800” silver.
