Edi Hauser
Eduard "Edi" Hauser (born November 26, 1948 ) is a former Swiss cross-country skier .
At the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , Hauser won the bronze medal with the Swiss relay. In the final sprint, Hauser defeated the Swedish Olympic champion Sven-Åke Lundbäck over 15 kilometers and thus secured one of the greatest successes in Swiss cross-country history. Over the 15-kilometer distance, Hauser took eleventh place, over 30 km the 14th place. Four years later he reached 25th place over 30 km in Innsbruck. Over 30 km it was 30th place at the 1978 World Cup in Lahti and 15th place at the 1980 Olympics.
In the 1973/74 season, Hauser finished third overall in the then unofficial cross-country skiing world cup .
