Edificio 14 de Mayo

The Edificio 14 de Mayo , also known as Edificio de renta de la Caja de Jubilaciones Bancarias , is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The building, which was built in 1945 as a result of a competition for its construction and the building permit from 1947, is located in Barrio Centro on Avenida Libertador Brig. Gral. Juan A. Lavalleja 1470-1496 , corner Paraguay 1473-1497 . Beltrán Arbeleche and Miguel A. Canale were responsible as the architects of Edificio 14 de Mayo, which was designed as a residential, commercial and office building . In a list of the Instituto de Historia de la Arquitectura (IHA), the building is provided with the recommendation of protection as a Bien de Interés Municipal .
